We are looking for Kladov Leonid Panteleevich, born approximately
in 1925-1926, in village Novo-Kladovo, Starii Oskol, Russia.
After the death of his parents (approx. in 1933) him and his sister
– Kladova Valentina Panteleevna – got
separated and were put in different orphanages. When the war started
in the USSR in 1941 Valentina Kladova joined the Soviet Army and
stayed with them until the war ended in 1945. We know that Leonid
Kladov was also taking part in the war as in 1944 a letter from
him was received in Novo-Kladovo - his native village. He was writing
from the front, asking whether there were any relatives left in
the village and the whereabouts of his sister. This letter was forwarded
to Valentina Kladova. She wrote back to him and got a reply from
someone else, saying that Leonid Kladov had been injured and was
taken to hospital.
She has never heard from him since and does not have any information
about what has happened to him and whether he is still alive.
